Feeding Hope is an artistic protest action to call on governments to show more political courage and responsibility to combat climate change together

The women deliberately chose for the symbolism of motherhood: 'Not only will the next generations have to bear the consequences of an undecided and spineless government, as mothers we also realize that we are handing over pollution and our fears to our children. This must stop.' The idea behind the action grew when the artist Maria Lucia Cruz Correia met the woman behind the Polish citizens' initiative "Polish Mothers on Tree Stumps" during TOAH (The Art of Organizing Hope), an event that took place in Ghent this November. This Polish campaign on the verge between art and activism started with an individual protest of Cecylia Malik.
